Great to see this gorgeous - and very symbolic - brooch worn by Camilla. A very lovely and glittering memorial from the new Queen to the late one!



A few days earlier, on May 8th, Queen Camilla had also worn another of the major pieces of the royal brooch collection: the Cullinan V brooch - for the first time, I think (if we exclude, of course, the Coronation day, when Camilla had the Cullinan V brooch mounted at the front of Queen Mary's crown).




Unfortunately, Queen Camilla opted for a much disappointing outfit today for the service for the Order of the British Empire (of which she has been appointed Grand Master): as you can see below, she just wore a plain day dress under her Order robes and went bare-headed, whereas Queen Elizabeth II always wore, on such occasions, an evening dress and a tiara...
