Sorry Arthur I am not very good at uploading pictures but pictures exist (Getty Images 78977724) of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother wearing the badge.
It is also the cap badge of the Norfolk Regiment and mu guess is that it's origins come from the regiment.
