I well remember those monochorme screens back in the 1980's, they could only display text, no pictures. And the programs were very unconfortable to use (nowadays we are so spoiled be Windows etc.) But those old computers were good enough to start up simple inventory lists, which could be upgraded with each new computer generation.
I have often wondered if the palace does yearly inventory checks, like companies and other organizations do. How I would love to be the one to tick of each brooch and each tiara off the inventory list!
