I do believe that the royals have extensive computer inventories. They are probably added to all the time.
--Previous Message-- : I well remember those monochorme screens back : in the 1980's, they could only display text, : no pictures. And the programs were very : unconfortable to use (nowadays we are so : spoiled be Windows etc.) But those old : computers were good enough to start up : simple inventory lists, which could be : upgraded with each new computer generation. : : I have often wondered if the palace does : yearly inventory checks, like companies and : other organizations do. How I would love to : be the one to tick of each brooch and each : tiara off the inventory list! : : --Previous Message-- : : It's when it began. : : --Previous Message-- : Well it was in the early 1980s that PCs came : into common use. But in those days it was : mostly business and commercial use and very : few if any individuals had them. Also the : software was very limited and the screen : displays were initially text only (until : apple came along). : : Other than that there were mainframes and : large computers again used in business. : : so I would sincerely doubt that the Royal : family were 'computerised' in those days. : : --Previous Message-- : But were jewels filed by color so that they : could be matched to the Queen's outfits? : 1984 is a long time ago where computers are : concerned. : : : : : : :
