It's something of a mystery how the Brazilian earrings created by Queen Silvia from loose stones of Empress Amalia's inheritance are shown in the documentary.
Queen Silvia has only ever worn the large pear-shaped drops, but there appear to be top pieces to attach the pear drops to and create a longer, more dangling version of the earrings - see the screenshot below.
But I don't think I've ever seen them worn with these top parts added... quite odd.
