I have enjoyed reading your introductions. And also enjoy this wonderful board.
I am a H.S. social studies teacher from the Midwest area of the United States. I enjoy history, obviously, of all sorts including royal history and genealogy. My serious hobby is my own family genealogy (in addition to reading).
My first knowledge of royalty began with one "Time" magazine in the mid-1970s with "playing cards" pictures of European royals on cover and later in the late 1970s, with another "Time" magazine with the cover picture of Prince Charles. Then of course the 1981 Royal Wedding as the same thing happened to many Americans who got up so early to watch it (keep in mind many of us did not then have any VCR device or its tape to be able to record it). I was a young teenager at that time.
The only three royals which I have seen in person so far are Prince Charles and Princess Diana (from a relative distance) and Sweden's Queen Silvia (from a really close distance....a lot closer than Charles and Diana).
