I'm Aaron, a Senior college student from the Philippines. My interest in the Royal Family began with a research that I did on the late Princess of Wales when I was in 7th grade. From there I got to know the rest of the British Royal Family, then on to the continent, then to Asia and other parts of the world! Right now, besides being a student, I help as part of the cause for the beatification (sainthood) of Empress Zita of Austria. Trying to juggle too many things at a time has been the cause why I haven't been able to post as often as I want on the RJWMB!
--Previous Message-- : : Hello from Nellie. : : When growing up in Australia I was : interested in the coronation and that : started an interest in royal things. The : coronation scrapbook has long since gone to : some rubbish tip somewhere but I still have : some of the books about the Princesses. : : The intricate pieces of royal regalia : continued to fascinate, but it was not until : I discovered the RJWMB that my interest in : royal jewels worn by the ladies really took : off. : : I have learned so much by sharing with other : enthusiasts on this board. : : So many many jewels are still worn today and : we get to see them as we should - being worn : and not just photographed from under glass : in static museum displays. The Royal : Jewels documentary is a milestone in the : recorded history of the most famous royal : jewels worn today. Bravo! : : The diamond exhibition at BP will be another : milestone I believe. : : In retirement I volunteer with U3A and am : quite busy with that work. : The U3A movement started in France in 1973 - : you can google U3A. : : When I have finished the bulk of my work for : the start of the new term I want to teach : myself image software all over again, and : properly, and get back to making some : banners and panels. : : Nellie, Melbourne, Jan 2012 : : : : :
