Please understand that I value Bjarne's input here and find his inside information very enjoyable. However, for quite a while his haughtiness has rubbed me the wrong way. I've wondered whether the language difference is the cause of this, but other posters seem to avoid seeming arrogant.
Another issue for me is accuracy. I can recall several times when information he posted would later be proven incorrect. When discussing the miniatures worn by Margrethe II's daughters-in-laws he stated that they were photographs because there was no artist today that was capable of painting them. Later someone posted an article detailing how they were painted.
When discussing the Leuchtenberg sapphire tiara's flexibility, Bjarne stated that it had no crown ring but was hinged in only two places. Another poster subsequently shared a photo of it laying flat in its case.
At the Phillips wedding when we first saw the Duchess of Cornwall's new set someone speculated that it could be a certain stone, but Bjarne stated he could clearly see that it was something else (amethyst or pink topaz, I can't recall). Later this was proven to be incorrect when the auction catalog was posted.
These are just three of the examples I recall. This is in no way an attack on Bjarne, but I expect more from the "Board Expert."
