Indeed. I have often wondered how busy (and pleased) that rather unknown (for jewellery) Schurmann firm must have been all of a sudden in 1897 making all those lovely jewels for the Dutch Royal Court! Prior to that year most if not all jewels purchased (for Emma and Wilhelmina) came from jewellers in the Netherlands or France. Schurmann was not exactly on the vendors list of Royal Houses when it came to jewels, I think. At least I never found out (through my no doubt flawed research) about other grand jewels outside the Netherlands attributed to a Jeweller named Schurmann in Frankfurt. But perhaps they were a well kept secret at the time?
