Thank you very much ErikS. Actually, I do not care now whether the original version of the tiara looks better than the altered one. The fact that a high resolution picture of the tiara was released is a real breakthrough for the Dutch court! No doubt we owe a lot to the "openness" about their jewels by the British and Scandinavian monarchs. There is also an official picture of the pearl button tiara (showing the elastic bands for wearing it). I wonder whether there was a special occasion when they released it several years ago. As many of us know, earlier the only official pictures of Dutch royal jewels were made for M.H. Gans' book in 1961 with special permission of Queen Juliana!! As for the sapphire tiara, my guess is it was especially altered for the inauguration and that we will see the original version back again. See what happened to Maxima's wedding tiara; it was worn only twice in the star version. --Previous Message-- : Thanks!
