I was about to say. Come on John. These diamond are for real. Have we ever seen Juliana with one fake diamond? I believe the necklace contains some very old House Diamonds. Look at the shape and irregular sizes. They were not bought by a jeweller but set from an already existing collection. Was is made by Schuermann? If Brus says so....... I am still waiting to hear why all three pieces (tiara, corsage and necklace) made by the same jeweller around the same time (whether or not meant as a new parure) do not match better stylistically. One would expect certain motifs from the tiara in the necklace and vice versa. The Corsage? A huge Triple Bow! Impressive by all accounts but parures were made as matching sets so my question is: was this made as a parure?
The best example in the Dutch collection is the Mellerio Ruby Parure and Schuermann's own Peacock Tail Motif and Emerald Parures. These Jewels match perfectly stylistically. Why then not this Parure?
The necklace is very interesting because of the variation in shape of the stones and the unusual design. By all accounts a very impressive necklace.
