Dear Christina, even though this starts really to be heavily off-topic, let me give you a last example of the hopeless administration under Godinho in Ajuda. The Fundação Luso-Americana offered her a big grant for renovations. The only thing she had to do was to hand in a budget for the work needed. It never came.... --Previous Message-- : Lucas your first hand opinions and ground : knowledge of the situations are much : apreciated. I must say I was not reassured : on how the items were stored, and God knows : what happened to some of them...I really : hope the situation is better now. : : : : --Previous Message-- : I am so glad to hear that Jorge. I hope you : understand that I would never have dared to : have an opinion, let alone give it, had I : not lived in Lisboa more than 12 years and : certainly in the eighties, having been : involved quite a lot with the several : palaces/musea. : : --Previous Message-- : As a portuguese is very hard to read that : and : realise that can, in fact, be true (not : doubting of your word, of course). : But the new director of Ajuda Palace is a : very responsible person who loves his work : and the history so I think that we can have : hope. : : : : :
