I'm clearly in a minority here, but I quite like the design of the tiara and think it suits her very well. But then, I do have a soft spot for patina and glitter is not what attracts me most with a jewel usually...
--Previous Message-- : I wasn't suggesting calling it a fake tiara or : the Indian fake tiara. I merely commented on : the possibility (rather obvious from the : pics, IMHO) that it is not the design of a : first quality jeweler nor crafted with first : quality gems. Even if the stones are low : quality dark diamonds that are not typically : used for jewels they are still real gems and : the craftsman, even if not from a place like : Cartier, has skill. That equates to less : expensive and somewhat lower quality to me, : it does NOT equate to "fake." : : My original point was that ladies can find : lower quality tiaras and parures online (not : just ebay) or crafted by student jewelers, : that are of good enough quality that a lady : wouldn't feel ashamed to wear them to a : gala. It wasn't an insult to Claire, at all! : You know, obviously, not all of them are of : that quality, but if you do the work to find : them it's worth it. : : --Previous Message-- : Before some of us start calling the tiara : the : 'Indian fake tiara' perhaps we could ask our : experts, like Tamara , on this board to help : us : : : :
