The jabot pin brooch (?) - Dona Isabel Pic Archived Message

While searching in my old paper files I found this photo of Dona Isabel at a gala dinner in February 1998 (source:Caras magazine). Could this be the jabot pin brooch, the 11th brooch? Or are they a pair of brooches? It does looks similar in shape to the one we see on the pic posted by Jorge (although in that pic the brooch appears a bit sideways), what do you think? The petals seem perfectly aligned. If so I am very glad I was wrong in assuming it would not be worn in a diferent way, because it looks beautiful!! --Previous Message-- : So we have 10 known brooches! : I just discovered this lovely picture of HRH : in my archives: do you think it counts as : brooch? : : : : Thanks for the information about the Douro : brooch. Too bad we don't have a better : picture of it. It is diamonds and pearls : right? : When I was reading your post I started to : think how appropriate it is to have a Queen : to be patron of a ship named 'Douro Queen'. : : About the brooch of emeralds and rubies, to : be honest I can't distinguish the colors in : it so I'm going to trust you . A close-up : would be wonderful. : : A sapphire and diamond brooch would be : fantastic. : : I was joking about the colors, as you : noticed. You are so right about the love of : TRH for Portugal: a pity many people don't : realise that. :
