Field on page 80, 1997, shows pics of Queen Mary (the green one above), QEQM in 1947 and QEII in 1953 wearing at least one of the bracelets. Field's description is close to Alex's pic except for "surrounded by two rows of brilliant-cut diamonds". --Previous Message-- : Thanks Nellie and Alex G. It look like it all : seems to fit. : : The portrait of Queen Mary shows the clasps : as gold roses with blue enamel fitting in : nicely with Alex's picture - the portrait : only misses the cypher details. : : I guess one possible question now remains as : to what happened to the 4 strand diamond : bracelets. : : It would appear as thought the clasps are : cataloged by the RC without the bracelets. : : Since The Queen did not wear these : bracelets, she or her mother may of had them : altered. : : Any thoughts or insight? : : Cheers! : Bryce : : : --Previous Message-- : : Could be a match. I think they : may well be a match. : : : : : http://www.royalcollection.org.uk/collection/37014/pair-of-brooches : : : : : :
