Thanks to all of you, and especially to Nellie, for this wonderful work! Here is a link to the Royal Collection's webpage dedicated to Queen Victoria's Regal Circlet: http://www.royalcollection.org.uk/collection/75003/grand-or-regal-circlet (you can get an HQ picture by clicking on the button "Download this picture") The comments given by the Royal Collection indicate that this Circlet was made for Queen Victoria in 1858. But these comments do not seem very reliable (for instance, they describe the top elements of the circlet as "alternate Prince of Wales feathers and George Crosses", whereas we can all see that they are fleur-de-lys and cross pattées... ). So, on this point, I would say that I trust (the much-missed) Boffer (who wrote that this Circlet was created in 1852 with stones dismantled from Queen Adelaide's Circlet, and remodelled in 1858 after the end of the Hanoverian claim) better than the Royal Collection!
