For goodness sake how hard is it for people to grasp that no matter how high up you go no body knows what is going to happen next week let alone in 6 months time. Producers etc will be playing out different scenarios and planning for the worst, but they are not going to throw money away this early by cancelling a season. It's a United effort, not just panto producers but the theatres themselves. Plan for the worst and hope for the best. Also from a business point of view by keeping shows listed people can buy tickets which is money in the bank to keep theatres ticking over and if shows are cancelled people will hopefully have their bookings moved over or accept vouchers.
You only have to look in the media and literally this mornings lead story was that London could be virus free by June, then 4 stories down an 'expert' saying the virus will be here for years to come. No body knows anything until it happens. It's all speculation
