I hardly count two things as hysteria! I am one of the people who rely on it but somebody announcing that they don’t actually know what they will do won’t help anyone or guarantee it will happen and I will get paid. The aforementioned articles are already inconclusive so would an announcement to the same effect just fuel the fire! How does it clarify anything?
