So on tonight’s BBC News, theatres can reopen without ‘live performances’ and an interview with a cinema in Liverpool says they are operating with two seats gap between each person, effectively reducing capacity by two thirds.
So, as ever, it seems highly unlikely that producers will take the risk of renting theatres, ploughing money into contracts, publicity and everything else that goes into a successful panto season. I think I can hear the sirens approaching again...
