Stig, you are an eternal fountain of wisdom I think the tiara Countess Dorrit wears in you photo is Princess Feodora's with 2 e-o-w added...
In Princess Helena's 6 e-o-w tiara you see the 2 front wheats join above the central star... In Princess Feodora's the 2 front e-o-w are much further apart - meaning A: that the 4 e-o-w were moved further apart when 6 became 4 or B: there were 2 e-o-w tiaras (1 with 6 and 1 with 4). Bjarne states that the e-o-w tiara was kept at Sorgenfri after Princess Helena's death and then split (but we do not when it was split?). Could not it be like: Princess Helena's tiara had 2 e-o-w removed and the 4 remaining e-o-w moved further apart. The the tiara was put at the disposal of Princess Feodora (Helena still being the owner). The 2 e-o-w left were given to the daughters of Countess Alexandrine. For the wedding of Princess Margrethe/Princess Benedikte the 2 e-o-w were remounted (borrowed from the 2 sisters) to the tiara? And in 1977 Princess Anne-Lise wore the 4 e-o-w tiara (the 2 e-o-w being removed again). IF there at one point should have been 2 e-o-w tiaras I bet we would have seen fotos of the 2 being worn to the same event? Stig, as I remember you know Thyra Moes? could not you ask her discreetly about if she knows anything about the e-o-w tiara? This was a long post
