Thank you, Nellie, for the list of the Hanover Crown jewels, and for Princess Thyra's picture.
Here is another portrait of Princess Thyra, with her daughter Olga in her arms (1885, oil on canvas by Laurits Tuxen, private collection, exhibited at the Hermitage Museum in Saint-Petersburg in 2006). She is also wearing the diamond cross and pearls ropes winded around her neck:
Here is the link to Ursula's webpage dedicated to the Hanover small diamond crown, which is usually used by the Hanover brides on their wedding day, and a picture of Princess Frederika of Hanover on her wedding to Crown Prince Paul (later King Paul I) of Greece in 1937: http://royal-magazin.de/german/hannover/hannover-brautkrone.htm
It is remarkable that Queen Victoria - who had been so disappointed to be forced by her own courts to hand over the Hanoverian jewels to her uncle - decided not only to replace these jewels, but to replace them with almost identical ones. The Coronation rivière or Queen Victoria's bow brooches are strikingly similar to the jewels she had to give back to her uncle.
