First, we are pretty sure that Queen Elizabeth II has on least 6 collets diamonds necklaces. She has worn on least 3 differents necklaces (perhaps 4).
Please find at such my comments :
1° The duchess of york's diamond necklace :
It is not the necklace worn by Queen Elizabeth II as a princess. The diamond of the necklace worn the princess are far smaller.
Moreover, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother used to wear this necklace with the coronation necklace.
2° The Duchess of Teck’s rivière :
The Queen Mother used to wear a lot the coronation necklace.
3° The other collet of Queen Elizabeth II :
Please find below a better photo of this necklace (from the queen jewels vault)

On better photo we can clearly see the square diamond on the center of the necklace.
I thank you for this information. Further to this I am pretty sure that it can be the necklace given by the Prince and the Princess of Wales as a wedding gift to Mary, the duchess of York.
Please find below of a photo of the necklace worn by the Princess Mary. On this photo we can clearly see the square diamond It would be therefore an other discover. What do you think ? I also tried to find others photos of this event :

4° The necklace as Princess :
My real problem is to know if the necklace worn as a Princess is the same as the one worn for the openning of the olympic games !
The one worn as Princess : For me there is on least 16 diamond from the neck until the middle of the necklace (therefore on least 32 diamonds)
The one worn in 2012 : the diamonds seem smaller compared to the other one.
Best regards,
Franck
--Previous Message-- : Hello Franck, : : Thank you for your thorough explanation and : comprehensive classification. I will save : it, it will help me to sort out all these : similar-looking diamond rivières... : : Regarding the diamond rivières coming from : the Queen Mother, I wonder if the necklace : you call the ‘Duchess of York rivière’ (the : one worn with the Cartier Halo Tiara, : picture B on Nellie’s panel) could be the : same worn by the young Queen Elizabeth II, : as its diamond collets look smaller than the : ones worn on the other pictures of the Queen : Mother. But that’s just speculation from me, : as I have nothing to prove it without doubt. : And I may be tricked by the picture’s : blurriness. : : I do not know if QEQM wore the Duchess of : Teck’s rivière after Queen Mary bequeathed : it to her in 1953. It is probably even more : difficult to identify it with certainty on : pictures since this 46-brilliant rivière : includes 10 detachable collets (H. Roberts, : The Queen’s Diamonds , page 126, footnote : nr. 6), so the necklace can be reduced to 36 : collets (Roberts mentions it was : photographed with 36 collets in Queen Mary’s : Jewels Inventory). : : Regarding the diamond rivières worn by Queen : Elizabeth II, thank you for distinguishing : Queen Alexandra’s Collet Necklace (a- in : your classification) and the other collet : necklace (b-). I initially thought they were : the same necklace, but you are right when : noticing they have a different length (Queen : Alexandra’s Collet Necklace is closer to the : neck). And if Queen Alexandra’s Collet : Necklace had been worn by the Queen in : Wales, New-Zealand and the UAE, I suspect : that Hugh Roberts would have added one or : two pictures in his book. I would add that : Queen Alexandra’s collets are almost of : equal size, whereas the collets in the other : necklace looks (slightly) graduated. : : Queen Alexandra’s Collet Necklace (from : Roberts’ The Queen’s Diamonds ): : : : : The other collet necklace, worn in the : United Arab Emirates (cropped from a larger : HQ picture, posted probably by Tamara on : this board): : : : : We can notice that the frontal collet of : this necklace has a square shape, which we : can spot too on the picture of the Queen at : the Royal Variety Performance in 2012 (b-4° : in your classification). : : I have tried to enlarge the picture of the : young Queen Elizabeth II. But as you can : see, the picture remains too blurry to draw : a definitive conclusion. : : : : : : --Previous Message-- : Dear Arthur, : : Further to your email below please find my : comments. : : 1° Concerning the collet diamond necklaces : from Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother : : : We know that she has on least 3 diamond : collets necklaces from her mother. Queen : Elizabeth the Queen Mother wore the 3 : necklaces at her daughter coronation in : 1953. : : Afterwards, she usually wore 2 diamonds : collets necklaces : : : - the "duchess of york" collet : diamond necklace ; : - the coronation collet diamond necklace ; : : She might have never worn after the : coronation the Duchess of Teck's collet : necklace. : : Please find below the panel made by our dear : Nellie ! : : [img] [/img] : : 2° We also know that Queen Elizabeth II has : worn on least 3 differents collet diamonds : necklaces. (2 of them might be form Queen : Mary) : : a- Queen Alexandra's collet diamond necklace : : : : [img] [/img] : : b- an other one she also wears with tiaras : (excuse me for the bad quality of the photos : from getty images) : : The necklace is longer than the Queen : Alexandra's diamond necklace. On the : contrary the collets are smaller. : : 1° In New Zealand : : : [img] [/img] : : 2° in Wales : : : [img] [/img] : : 3° in UAE : : : : : 4° at an other event : : : [img] [/img] : : c- an other diamond collet necklace worn in : 2012 : : : The diamond in this necklace are very small : compared to the two others diamonds : necklaces worn by Queen Elizabeth II : : : [img] [/img] : : [img] [/img] : : d- the diamond collet necklace worn by : Princess Elizabeth : : She wore this necklace at on least 3 events. : : Dear Arthur, can you enlarge this photo to : confirm if it is the n°C or B° ? (I don't : think so) The collet in this necklace are : bigger than c° and smaller than B°. : : [img] [/img] : : Best regards, : : Franck : : --Previous Message-- : : Lengthening and shortening did go on, in all : generations I suspect, which makes these : identifications so problematic. : : : --Previous Message-- : Bonjour Franck, : : I am a bit puzzled by your message. For me, : the rivières worn by Queen Elizabeth II on : Bryce's initial picture, at the opening : ceremony of the London Olympic Games and : possibly on your post's first picture (taken : on 19 November 2012 at a Royal Variety : Performance) look very much alike, so I : suspect they could be the same. But of : course, with so many rivières available for : the Queen, I can be wrong... : : Queen(-Mother) Elizabeth's Coronation : rivière was inherited by the Queen in 2002, : but has been loaned to the Duchess of : Cornwall, who had it shortened by nine : collets (source: Hugh Roberts' The Queen's : Diamonds ). : : : --Previous Message-- : Dear Bryce, : : What an interesting photo ! : : Please note that from my own point of : view,Queen Elizabeth II has on least 6 : diamonds collets necklaces : : : 1° From Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother : : : - The Duchess of Teck's collet necklace : ((The lowest of the diamond collet necklaces : owned by Queen Mary) : - The Queen Elizabeth's coronation necklace : (was given to Queen Elizabeth by King George : VI to mark their coronation on 12 May 1937) : ; : - The diamond collett necklace given as : Duchess of York by the Duke of York : (Purchased by the Duke of York with the : Queen Elizabeth's Halo Tiara barely three : weeks before he succeeded his brother as : King George VI ( From Field and the QD) : : Nellie also made a panel of the collet : diamond necklaces owned by Queen Elizabeth : the Queen Mother. : - 2°Queen Elizabeth II : : : We know that she inherited on least 2 collet : diamond necklaces from Queen Mary (She had 8 : principal collet diamond necklaces) : : - From that we know that she had Queen : Alexandra's collet necklace. : Queen Elizabeth II wore this necklace in : Toronto in 2010. I have never seen a photo : Queen Elizabeth this necklace at an other : event. : - an longest collet diamond necklace. She : wore this necklace in New Zealand, in Wales, : in UAE in 2010.This diamond necklace is the : most worn by Queen Elizabeth II ; : [img] [/img] : : - a small diamond collet necklace worn at : the opening ceremony at the Olympic Games in : 2012. (To me it is the only time she has : worn this necklace) : [img] [/img] : [img] [/img] : - An other one diamond necklace worn when : she was young (Your post) - She has also : worn this collet nekclace with a black dress : when she was worn - I don't know if it the : same as the below one - What do you think ? : The collets seems biggers ? : : Please also note that I have asked the site : "the Queen's jewels vault' to do the : modifications. : : Best regards, : : Franck : : --Previous Message-- : In Arthur's first picture, it is nice to see : HM wearing her corsage badge of the Imperial : Order of the Crown of India which we will no : doubt never seen worn again. : : : : Cheers! : Bryce : : : --Previous Message-- : Hello Bryce, : : judging from the picture below, which seems : to be from the same event, I think it is : indeed a diamond collet rivière. : : : : I think that this diamond rivière, which : seems to be made of rather small collets (if : compared, for instance, to the bigger : collets of Queen Victoria's Coronation : Necklace), could be the same as the one worn : by the Queen on 27 July 2012 for the opening : ceremony of the London Olympic Games: : : : : It is probably one of the many rivières that : Queen Mary loved to pile on one another : around her neck... : : : : : --Previous Message-- : Can anyone confirm that this is a necklace : of : collet diamonds. It is always hard to tell : them apart but, if anyone happens to know : which necklace this is, that would be great. : : At first I thought it might be the South : African necklace but there does not seem to : be the right spacing between collets. : : I do not recall HM wearing collets (other : than the Coronation NL) very often so this : photo seems a bit rare to me. : : As always, I would appreciate your insight. : : : : Cheers! : Bryce : : : : : : : : : : : : : :
