    Dear Arthur,

Thank you for your kind post and your photos.

Unfortunetly, we can't have a proof of the origin of the collet worn by Queen Elizabeth II (despite the fact the necklace from the P rinceand Princess of Wales could be the one due to his history).

Just to finish do you think that the necklace worn when Queen Elizabeth II was young and the one worn in 2012 are the same? I have not sure but the one worn in 2012 seems far smaller.

    Best regards,

    Franck

    : Hello Franck and Baxter,
    :
: Baxter's panel has convinced me that it is
: the same necklace, and that it is a
: different necklace than Queen Alexandra's
: rivière (worn in Canada). As these two
: rivieres are of different length, I think it
: would be fine if the Queen could wear both
    : rivieres together.
    :
: I would not speculate about the origin of
: the riviere worn by QEII in New-Zealand, the
: UAE, etc., I think we still lack solid
: enough information. The slightly square
: shape of the frontal diamond might not be
: conclusive enough, in my view (and very
: often, the grain and size of the pictures do
: not enable us to reach this level of
    : detail).
    :
: Regarding the rivière worn by the young
: Queen Mary (with the pearl-spiked Girls of
    : Great-Britain and Ireland Tiara), I have
: found these two larger pictures. But I think
: it remains very uncertain to identify a
: square-shaped diamond at the front of this
: rivière. Moreover, we can notice that, on
: these pictures, the rivière is very close to
    : Queen Mary's neck, whereas QEII's rivière
: worn in New-Zealand, the UAE etc., hangs
: lower (of course, Queen Mary could have had
: her necklace lengthened later, but it is too
    : speculative so far).
    :
    :
    :
    :
: I think that the puzzle will remain partly
: unsolved for us. But I appreciate everyone's
: contribution, and especially Franck and
    : Baxter's suggestions and challenging
: questions. Thank you to everyone for their
    : input and remarks!

    : Dear Baxter,
    :
: Thank you so much for your kind post !
    :
: The photo are very beautiful, I will save
    : your panel !
    :
: I think it can be a simple coincidence to
: have worn this necklace after the death of
: Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.
    :
: Do you think also that it can be the one
: given by the princess and prince of wales to
: Mary, Duchess of York ? As a matter of fact,
: you can also see that the central diamond
: seems also square (see my photo).
    :
: What do you think of the two others
: necklaces worn by Queen Elizabeth II (The
: one worn when she was young and the other
: one worn in 2012) : do you think it is the
    : same necklace ?
    :
    : Best regards,
    :
    : Franck

: I agree that this necklace is different from
: Queen Alexandra's necklace worn in Canada.

    :
: I find it interesting that this necklace
: didn't make an appearance until after the
: Queen Mother's death, although Roberts
: states that the Queen inherited two of Queen
: Mary's rivieres, so perhaps the timing is
: strictly coincidental. Has anyone seen it
    : being worn previously?
