Im not suggesting the monarch cannot adapt to modern times. I am however convinced that acting in a presidential style is the kiss of death for monarchs. For these special occasions they have to show the glamour that belongs to the unique institution the monarchy is. Like the wedding of crownprincess Victoria of Sweden and prince Daniel. That was very regal in dresscode and various traditions, but also very open and close to the population. The Danish court is another prime example of using Regality while also ajusting to the times as well as being true to oneself. The Belgian monarchy got rid of whatever royal glamour they had and they have been constantly getting bad press because they live privileged lives. --Previous Message-- : If the royal house had you as advisor we : already would be a republic by now.
