The Foundation indeed looses its meaning (to provide the Bearer of the Crown all what is deemed neccessary for the exercise of the royal function) when there is no longer a royal function to fullfill... The same counts for the hand-over of the Royal Domains to the State of the Netherlands. There is a restriction that this conditional gift will be returned to the Orange-Nassaus when the monarchy ends (or they will be financially compensated for the value). But how do these shares work? Does this mean that after the four daughters of Queen Juliana, also the De Bourbon de Parmes, the Van Vollenhovens and the Guillermos have a say in it? Does that also mean that when, let's say, Bernardo Guillermo wants to see cash, it needs to be secured? All by all it does not look so solid, that Foundation...
