Nonsense. Queen Margrethe II also has access to the State owned Crown Jewels at Rosenburg Castle and the O-N already use palaces owned by the State so why not look at State owned paintings and sit on State owned furniture too and get the House Diamond Parure from Palace Lange voorhout or Palace Het Loo when needed? --Previous Message-- : I hope this will never happen, after all the : aim of the Foundation was that the Bearer of : the Crown will have all these fantastic : properties (jewels, artworks, inventories, : archives, estates, etc.) at his/her disposal : for the exercise of the kingship. : : When it fragments because a Guillermo in New : York or a De Bourbon de Parme in Rome wants : to see cash, the purpose of the Foundation : is lost out of the eye. The rescue could be : that the King compensates, like Carl XVI : Gustaf did by acquiring the converted ruby : collier as well the aquamarine diadem we say : on Princess Christina, last week. Even when : the State of the Netherlands would buy it, : still ancient and historic jewels, some for : more than three centuries in the family, : will get lost and suddenly a museum or so : decides on it. Not ideal. :
