But the status of her : husband certainly makes it more fitting. : When Betty Boothroyd became Speaker of the : House of Commons, the highest ranking : commoner in the country, the Houses of : Parliament bought her a tiara (at Wartski) : as a sign of this rank. When she was : succeeded by a man, the tiara was sold : again. :
