I don't fully agree. The correct form of dress for a State Banquet for ladies includes tiaras and if the lady owns one or has the means to rent/borrow one, it is in good taste to make the effort. I don't think a lady should ruin herself in order to respect the dress code, but if she has access to a tiara I think it is respectful to the Queen and the occasion to make the effort and put it on. --Previous Message-- : We do not disagree - but as I wrote - if you : own (or has access to one) a tiara and want : to wear it (and dare) going to the post : office then you are entitled to do so! You : can wear it at home when you clean as well - : you do not have to wait to be invited : somewhere where it says white tie on the : invitation for you to wear a tiara : : And btw - even if you own a tiara and you : are invited somewhere and it says 'tiara : can/may be worn' in the invitation no one : can force you to wear your tiara either if : you do not want to can you imagine the : headline 'woman sentenced to jail for not : wearing her tiara' it would be as absurd as : 'woman sentenced to jail for wearing her : tiara to the post office' : : :
