She was never a Princess of the UK. Queen Victoria granted the children of Princess Helena the title of His/Her Highness. After the King decided that his relatives living in England should not use their German titles, Princess Marie Louise dropped the her paternal name of Schleswig-Holstein and was known simply as Princess Marie Louise. As she was not a Princess of the UK she was not entitled to a Princess' robes or coronet.
