Isn't it odd that HM wore the Girls of GB tiara while Queen Mary was alive, yet supposedly was unaware that the bandeau went with it? Wouldn't Granny have said to her,"Dearie, try it once with the bandeau; you'll love it"? On another topic, was that rule about maidens not wearing tiaras only applicable to royals? Or did it open the floodgates for everyone when it changed for Margaret? --Previous Message-- : : I don't think she ever wore a tiara (edit) : before marriage : It has long been my theory that the Queen : Mother kept to the rule for tiaras to be : worn only on marriage. : It was only once the Queen became Queen, and : could make the rules, that Princess Margaret : wore a tiara, except for her official visit : to the Netherlands. : : Here is Princess Margaret so noticeably : tiaraless in that company of royal ladies. : : : --Previous Message-- : As Princess Elizabeth, she often wore the : Nizam of Hyderabad tiara between her wedding : and accession.
