No, the brooch from the ‘Brazilian parure’ is the flower brooch below. A few pics - First, a close up of the brooch: The brooch with the Brazilian tiara, which is worn in a much wider fashion than usually here, at the state visit from Belgium in 1994. The tiara consists of nine elements separated by hinges which allow for changing the tiara's diameter from being almost a circlet to this wide version: Queen Silvia’s first official portrait, where the tiara was worn very upright and shortened by removing the parts at the far ends of the tiara - two elements on each side, I'd say: And finally, the full tiara in a more narrow diameter worn at CP Victoria's wedding: --Previous Message-- : What about the brooch. Is the one the Queen : used in that same occasion with the two : rivieres? : : --Previous Message-- : I'm 'drawing a blank' as well... there are : so : many diamond rivières in the Bernadotte : collection. : But perhaps it's the longer one of the two : rivières with the largest diamond collets - : the shorter one was Queen Viktoria's (von : Baden) originally, but I've never heard : details about the provenance of the long : one. : : Queen Silvia wore both of them together at : the Nobel Prize ceremony in 1995: : : : : : --Previous Message-- : : Thanks, Boris. I'm drawing a blank on the : "matching necklace." Is it one of : the rivières? : : : : :
