If the matching necklace is/was with some flower motifs and arabesques like the tiara, I can imagine how wonderful it would look. To complete it, only a large stomacher with the same motifs to be a full parure. --Previous Message-- : Maybe the matching necklace left the main line : at some point and was subsequently auctioned : off? I doubt that it is one of the rivières : as they are not "matching" in : design. (Though I love rivières as they are : so versatile.) : : --Previous Message-- : I'm 'drawing a blank' as well... there are : so : many diamond rivières in the Bernadotte : collection. : But perhaps it's the longer one of the two : rivières with the largest diamond collets - : the shorter one was Queen Viktoria's (von : Baden) originally, but I've never heard : details about the provenance of the long : one. : : Queen Silvia wore both of them together at : the Nobel Prize ceremony in 1995: : : : : : --Previous Message-- : : Thanks, Boris. I'm drawing a blank on the : "matching necklace." Is it one of : the rivières? : : : : :
