Even the present Count of Paris was by-passed by his father Count Henri in favour of the Present Duc de Vendôme.
I saw a ceremony on YouTube, which took place in 1987, 'Ceremonie de titulature', during which the late Count Henri bestowed the titles of Duc de Vendôme upon his grand-son, Prince Jean d'Orléans and Duc d'Angoulême upon his grand-son Prince Eudes.
Talking about the definition of 'de jure king' or 'titular king', IMHO TM the Kings Simeon II of Bulgaria and Constantine II of Greece are Kings and that's it. No 'former' or 'ex' in front of their title. It's not a referendum or coup d'état that can change what they represent for us 'monarchists'.
I was born in Italy eleven years after the tricky referendum abolished the monarchy in my country.
In my opinion, I was born on the eleventh anniversary of the reign of TM King Umberto II and Queen Maria-José, I don't want to hear anything else, that's what they were for me, my King and my Queen.
