When I think about the Netherlands, imagine The Prince of Orange is not able to execute kingship, for an example because it was him who was caught in an avalanche and is now in a coma (instead of his brother), even then it is very difficult to bypass him. Most likely his brother Prince Constantijn would act as Regent as long as Princess Catharina-Amalia is not ready to execute the kingship in her father's name. That the Comte de Clermont can easily be shoven away, how understandable it might be, is a bit too easy in my eyes. There is no actual kingship. What is the problem with the Comte de Clermont remaining the Dauphin and the Duc de Vendôme as Régent du Dauphin, looking after his interests?
