Henri! Why do you insist on this theory? The strawberry leaf brooch is NOT a remnant of Queen Sophie's Coronet but has always been a brooch set with a pearl and pendant that was worn seperately. --Previous Message-- : That has always been my dream, the restoration : of Queen Sophie's diadem with the diamond : fleurons. On the picture below the Queen : wears one of the fleurons as a broche. : : Because at least one of the original large : fleurons is still in the collection, a : jeweller can re-create the diadem with new : fleurons. That will be a costly affair : anyhow. When the Prince and Princess can : spend a lot of money on tutti frutti jewels : (or on estates in Mozambique, Argentina and : Greece) they must be able to finance such a : restoration of Queen Sophie's coronet. : : : : Preferrably to be worn with a veil, à la the : Swedish ladies in ye olde times. : :
