I found the painting joye posted from Victoria, Duchess of Cambridge on the RC's website and tried to enlarge the brooch. Either this artist has a very, very vivid imagination or the brooch has been altered OR it's an entirely other brooch which belongs to the demi-parure but has not seen the daylight (at least in public) since ages...
The brooch in the painting: - has an oval stone - not a hexagonal - is surrounded by rows of diamonds (2 or 3) - I see no scrolls (above) or sunrays (below)... (the fact that the stone is blue and not purple may be due the reproduction process...)
