Hmmmm. . .the motifs around the aquamarines in the QEII-CoW tiara look more like spiders than like scrolls to me! Probably they are intended to look like flowers. I think Christina may well be right when she speculates that this tiara could have been rediscovered, perhaps by the Duchess of Cambridge and the Countess of Wessex, when the smaller tiaras were examined in order to choose a wedding tiara. I have been wondering, however, why Sophie wore this tiara in Luxembourg rather than her own rather striking aquamarine tiara.
