Can we discuss this for a moment? When we uncovered the photos from the Northwest Territories all those years ago, those little prong things at the ends of the tiara have always made me wonder if it is flexible or if pieces can be attached or detached to it via those little metal spikes. Those still remain, so I think those weird bits at the end which logically and aesthetically should not be there, must serve some purpose. Or at least have served a purpose at some point in its history. I think this lends credence to Baxter's theory that the four ornaments that went to create the Aquamarine behemoth came from a larger version of the Canada/Sophie Tiara. --Previous Message-- : Looking at the Sophie/1970 tiara, it looks to : me very much an antique, the sort of thing : produced around 1900.
