I think this is still very much a work in progress. There seems to be a lot online now, in terms of new items and images we haven't seen before, it is just the case that there is no way to currently browse the collection or categories. The only way to find things is by searching for them directly.
For example, to keep this on a jewellery footing, I found this image of a bust of Queen Mary, where she is wearing Queen Alexandra's Pearl wedding-gift brooch, as the central clasp/pendant to a pearl necklace.
It should be noted that we can no longer link to or save pictures from this new website (we can from the out exhibition micro sites that have not changed, but the general e-gallery, there are no 'right click' options).
I think we shall just have to wait to see what updates are made next, the royal collection placed such importance on their e-gallery, and continue to place importance on online and public access, I am sure the developments to this website and the 'collection online' feature are still very much in the pipeline and a work in progress.
