The foundation allready has 17 or 18 known tiara's and headpieces that the women of the family can wear. I would not be too surprised to find out they actually own even more than that number.

: Princesses are princesses. It can not be that
: Marilène wears the Laurel Leaf and her
: sister-in-law Anita has nothing. Or that an
: in-law as Aimée, a princess after all, has a
: diadem but Juliana Guillermo, daughter to a
: born Princess of the Netherlands and
: granddaughter to a Queen has nothing. I feel
: the Queen swept all this away with
    : "black tie, please".
    :
: The best solution was: "White tie,
: diadems required" and these were
: enforced to buy or borrow jewels. It is not
: that they are short of money, from what I
    : see, read or understand.

: There are plenty, with a bit of creativity,
: besides not all of these women require
: tiaras if you don't mind me saying.

: There is an additional problem when diadems
: are wanted: there are never enough diadems
: to probide all these ladies.
    : The Queen
    : Princess Máxima
    : Princess Mabel
    : Princess Laurentien
    : Princess Irene
    : The Duchess of Parma
    : Princess Margarita
    : Princess Maria Carolina
    : Princess Margriet
    : Princess Marilène
    : Princess Annette
    : Princess Anita
    : Princess Aimée
    : Princess Christina
    : Eva Guillermo-Prinz Valdez
    : Juliana Guillermo
    :
: That will be the main reason to use black
: tie for the weddings and other festivities
    : in the family.

: Heu.... 1980 did not differ from 1948 in
: dresscode. At both events royal guests wore
: white tie and the ladies long-with-hat.
    :
: White tie during day events should usually
: be worn with dark gilets, see the Prince of
: Orange at the Inthronisation Mass of Pope
: Franciscus. So the dresscode 2013 is
: essentially the same as the dresscodes 1980
    : and 1948.
    :
: I never expected diadems at the Investiture.
: The best chance is the diner at the
: Rijksmuseum but seeing how Queen Beatrix
: always used black tie as dresscode outside
: State Banquets, it will be no surprise when
    : no diadems are worn.

: This is what i expected but i had hoped for
: more. The new king, his brother and uncle
: wearing white tie and an order would
: normally dictate that at least the women of
: the Royal House wear tiara's. 1980 is the
: blueprint, but why they opted for the worst
: inauguration in Dutch history as the
: blueprint for the next one will always
: remain a mystery to me.
    :

: Did you really expect anything else? The
    : reference is 1980.
: If we are lucky a small tiara and some other
: jewels on Maxima. It's not her day,
: remember. Willem-Alexander is being invested
: as King. We tend to look at the previous
: investitures with the wrong eyes: when
: Queens Regnants were invested......... and
: we are not in the 19th century anylonger
: when all the ladies of the court would pull
: out their finest jewellery. Maxima will
: surely wear some stunning pieces these days
: but it will not be a tiara cat-walk.
: Don't get me wong, I would love it just as
: much as any of you when Maxima pulls out a
: bunny from her hat but let's not get our
: hopes up too much, heh.

: One of the Royal commentators allready
: mentioned that hatmaker Fabienne Delvigne
: has made the hat for Princess Laurentien. If
: she is not wearing a tiara, Margriet and the
: other invited Royal Ladies won't wear a
: tiara for the ceremony either. So fingers
: crossed for Maxima and the two evening
    : events!

: I think we should all know where we will
    : watch
: by now, in this website, there's only one
: link that will broadcast the ceremonies
: online, does anyone have any other links?

    : too, including the timings.
