White tie, black tie. Irrelevant these days. If there's ever an opportunity to wear family heirlooms for this family it's this one and all we see is Margriet bejewelled with heirlooms. Never her daughters in law. Offcourse there's a difference between Juliana's grandchildren: there are 4 categories for crying out loud! De Bourbon de Parmes are in a completely different league than the Guillermos and the children of Beatrix and Margriet were never granted the same status. So why would they now all of a sudden be bejewelled equally because they share one and the same royal grandmother?
--Previous Message-- : You mean the Peter Stuyvesant Ball in New : York? Isn't that always a black tie event? I : agree it is strange that when Princess : Margriet wears a diadem, her : daughters-in-law at the same event do not. : : Maybe there is a division in A-princes and : B-princes (what Queen Juliana wanted to : avoid). The Princess tends to wear her : diadems in beatrixian style anyway: hardly : visible in the hairdo. :
