Except for not wearing the House Diamonds (I believe the Queen has worn diamond pendants from the bow brooch) there is finally uniformity in the Royal House:

That is a quite coherent and uniform group. The only persons who are of interest outside this group are the three children of Prince Constantijn (Countess Eloïse, Count Claus-Casimir and Countess Eleonore) who remain successors until their cousine The Princess of Orange assumes the kingship.
Queen Beatrix had no say about the De Bourbon de Parmes and the Guillermo's. The "mess" lies in the princely titles of the four Van Vollenhoven boys and that was Juliana's decision. She could have created them all nobles with the surname Van Lippe-Biesterfeld van Vollenhoven.
No, I think Queen Beatrix is little to blame because she just respected decisions and arrangements made by her mother. Anyway, to come back on the Investiture, my guess is that Queen Máxima will wear the bandeau of rose-cut diamonds. It looks like máde for her, a stunning symbiose with her formal hairdo, for sure in combination with large diamond pendant earrings and a collet collier with big diamonds...
