Well I would like to put the question differently; Why would these elements have been the only pieces to survive the complete dismantelement of both the tiara and necklace in 1962? Were they so special? Surely not!? I think there's a possibility the necklace might have been partially dismantled. Furthermore I have a strong feeling the large ornament of the necklace was always detachable from the necklace itself.
--Previous Message-- : I don't think the tiara of the Wedding-gift : parure has enough saphires and larger : diamonds to explain the various jewels that : were made of it. My guess is that both the : tiara and the necklace were used for all the : pieces. Why would they take the 5 parts of : the necklace of one parure to set them on : another if that original necklace wasn't : broken up in the first place. : : --Previous Message-- : Speaking about Vita Israël. The firm Israël : & Hoetig created the Wedding Gift Parure : 1901. For so far known the (unwearable) : diadem of this parure was broken up to : create personal bijoux. The bracelets are : still intact (and regularly worn). The : whereabouts of the collier, more or less : mirroring the broken-up diadem is unknown. : In his book René Brus only mentions the : breaking-up of the diadem, not of the : collier. : : After decades of no-see suddenly some : diamond-and-sapphire lozenges from this long : time not seen collier pop up on another : necklace, worn as diadem (see picture). That : indicates that the original large necklace : of the Wedding Gift Parure 1901 is still : intact indeed? Also the eh... Mellerio, : eh... Masin, eh... Israël Sapphire Parure : has long not seen elements, like the very : large diamond-and-sapphire bracelets which : -I think- have never been worn anymore since : the reign of Queen Juliana. So both grand : parures are surrounded with quite a few : question marks.... : : : : : : : : : :
